We write to you today with deep concern and a sincere request for your support on behalf of the Hill family of Spotsylvania, Virginia. The family is currently facing an overwhelming and unforeseen crisis that has placed them in urgent need of financial assistance to meet their most basic obligations in the months ahead.

On July 5, their youngest son, Tyler, age 18, was involved in a serious motor vehicle collision while riding as a rear-seat passenger. He sustained a traumatic brain injury and remains unconscious, though he has shown encouraging signs of recovery. He has been transferred out of the intensive care unit, which has brought his family a measure of hope. Tyler will require facial surgery, continued hospitalization, and an extended period of specialized rehabilitation. His plans to begin trade school this fall have been indefinitely postponed. We ask in any way you can, financially, socially, or spiritually, to help us assist the Hill family.

St Vincent de Paul worked with the poor. He saw Christ in each person.

An early painting of St. Vincent de Paul serving those in need has been merged with a depiction of Jesus, taken from a work called "The Invitation" by American artist, Nathan Greene.
